The most significant surprise of the evening was The Whigs ( Myspace ), an Athens band who totally blew me away. I located out later that they were a Rolling Stone band to watch , and although I generally never put a lot stock in such accolades, this time the mag is appropriate on the dollars. I actually regret not obtaining their CD although I was at the show.
Note that the third Sunday, the pink candle or Gaudette Sunday, is always lit by the mother of the family members, no matter who lights the wreath candles the other weeks. Oh wow, I definitely enjoyed reading about the points you did as a child in the 1940s. I wasn’t born till 1948 so definitely do not bear in mind the 40’s.
